     Change of mechanical instructions

New mechanical instruction 2006/42/EC:Execution date

New Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC announced on June 9, 2006.

On June 29, 2006, the EU mandated that all Member States implement.

On June 29, 2008, two years later, EU member states replaced the original national directives with the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.。

On December 29, 2009, after one and a half years, the EU forced the replacement of the old machinery directive 98/37/EC. Until December 29th, the EU still has to adopt the 98/37/EC Machinery Directive. After December 29th, the old directive 98/37/EC was void.

  The issuance of this new mechanical directive, in addition to changes in the directives and standards, also specifies the specific details of the validity period of the certificate and the formulation and preservation of the technical documents: the certificate is valid for 5 years; technical documents must be kept in the EU region; be able to accept queries at any time. --- Mechanical Engineering CE Certification

Issue date

Directive 2006/42/EC was published on June 9, 2006. It came into effect 20 days after June 29, 2006. These new directives were incorporated into national law by Member States until the national laws and regulations adopted and published on June 29, 2008. The terms of the new Directive apply on December 29, 2009. Prior to this date, the current Machinery Directive 98/37/EC continues to apply.
  Mechanical CE mark instruction, after three corrections:

  91/368/EEC 98/37/EC 2006/42/EC

  The new EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC will be implemented on December 29, 2009 (exception: only portable cassette processing machines or processing machines with extrusion function, until June 29, 2011 Only implemented), replacing the current Machinery Directive 98/37/EC with no buffer transition period. According to official documents, a statement under Directive 2006/42/EC can only be established after December 29.

  There are many differences in the new version of the directive, which will have a major impact on the machinery manufacturers and distributors that are sold to the EU. Major changes in the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC: The main differences between the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the old Machinery Directive 98/37/EC are the scope of the directive, basic health and safety requirements, definitions and conformity assessment procedures. And market supervision.

  1、The scope of application of the new directive has increased semi-finished products, lifting accessories, etc.;

  Machinery equipment;

  Interchangeable device;

  Safety component;

  Lift attachment;

  Chain, rope, wire mesh;

  Removable mechanical transmission;

  Mechanical semi-finished mechanical device.

  2、There are some technical differences between the basic health and safety and the old instructions according to Appendix I of the new Directive. For example, the sound pressure value of 80dB should be marked with the sound power value.;

  3、The new directive adds more definitions of terms such as semi-finished products, manufacturers;

  4、Evaluation procedure, new instructions are no longer
Use the "storage option" mode,receive only one of the following modes:
  Self-declaration;

  EC type verification;

  Comprehensive quality assurance model

5、The Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC updates the list of dangerous machinery products in Annex IV (Annex IV). Make the types’ amount of hazardous machinery from 17 to 23 in the 98/37/EC Directive; and 98/37/ The safety mechanical parts of EC Annex IV part B are listed separately in Annex V (in Annex V) in 2006/42/EC, from the original 5 safety components to 17 categories, controls by updating catalog and restrict access to EU market.
  6、The new directive requires that the semi-finished products be put into the market to meet the following requirements and be supplied with the semi-finished products until the finished product is completed.:

  Preparation of technical documents in Appendix VII B;

  Assembly instructions described in Appendix VI;

  Declaration.

  7、Strengthen market supervision:
Due to the current too many unlawful CE certificate or declarations, many mechanical products bearing the CE mark have not met the requirements of the relevant EU directives, and the new version of the Machinery Directive strengthens market supervision. In order to facilitate the supervision of the EU CE supervisory authority, no matter it is a manufacturer of the European Union or a manufacturer of machinery manufactured by a foreign country and sold to the EU, the new version of the Machinery Directive stipulates that In the manufacturer's declaration document, the name and contact address of the person in charge authorized by the manufacturer to prepare the complete set of TCF technical documents must be available, and this person must be identified within the EU. (Original: The EC declaration of conformity must contain the following particulars: name and address of the person authorised to compile the technical file, who must be established in the Community.) That is, Once the EU CE supervisory agency finds a indication of fake CE certificate or declaration that the mechanical products have not met the requirements of the relevant EU directives or there is a safety incident in the mechanical products, they can immediately contact the person in charge within the EU, who on behalf of the manufacturer and the EU authorities deal with CE-related matters.
