1.  IEC  adopted the resolution DSH0743 at the forty-seventh CTL conference in IEC 625602010.， In view of the draft standard pre/IEC62560 (safety standard for LED self-rectifier lamps) has not been officially released, the current safety standards for LED self-rectifier lamps are:

       ( a) IEC/EN 60968 (safety Part)

       ( b) IEC/EN 60061 (lamp holder part)

       ( c) IEC/EN 62031 (LED module security part)

       ( d) IEC/EN 62471 (photo biosafety part)

At present, IEC 62560 (1st, 2011) standard has been issued, but the corresponding EN 62560 has not been officially released, but now TUV Rheinland has begun to use IEC standards to issue CB, TUV-Mark and other related reports,Therefore, it is suggested that the marketing staff of our company should communicate with the customers by using IEC/EN 60968 or IEC/EN 62560 standard for LED self-rectifier lamp products, because the final IEC/EN 62560 will replace IEC/EN 60968.

 

       2. At present, the European Union also puts forward EMF requirements for lamps and lanterns, and CEN has released EN 62493:: 2010 –Assessment of lighting equipment related to human exposure to electromagneticfields。So lamps and lanterns must evaluate EN 62493 when applying for CE/GS/Bauart / Geprüft certification.
