Classification and introduction of UL certification mark
The UL certification mark is recognized as a safety certification mark in the United States and North America, affixed with such signs of products, it is equivalent to access to a safety quality credit card. Its credibility has been accepted by the vast numbers of consumers. Therefore, the UL certification mark has become a special pass for the products (especially mechanical and electrical products) to enter the United States and the North American market.
 
UL certification mark is divided into 3 categories, namely listed, classification and recognized mark. These main components of the logos are the patterns of the UL, which are registered trademarks. They are applied to different service products, and it does not be in common use.
 
Class R listed labels
The class R listed labels consists of four parts:
a The UL listed labels pattern symbol.
b Text "LISTED"". The text indicates that the product belongs to the listed service.
c The third part is the control number. This is the specific code assigned by UL to each applicant of each category, which used to strengthen control of UL tags. The code consists of four digits and / or letters, which is specified in the listed data page of the tracking inspection rule.
d Product name. If the UL tag is not used as a label in the product, this part can appear elsewhere in the product.
Note: Before January 2008, For products that are listed and recognized for both UL and C-UL, you can add both UL and C-UL marks, But after 2008, you must use the mark of the third mark in the last table.
 
The ownership of UL certification mark
UL have the ownership of several registration marks. The application of these different marks is determined by the service category (listed, classification, or recognized) of individual products. Although your company has signed a tracking service agreement or other agreements with UL, or that your company has to pay UL the inspection or tracking inspection service fees, is not to say you can start to use or continue to use the mark of UL.
