FCC Certification Type
 
There are three types of FCC certification:
 
1, self-verification: manufacturers or importers ensure that their products have carried out the necessary testing to confirm that the product meets the relevant technical standards and retain the testing report, the FCC has the right to require manufacturers to submit equipment samples or product testing data. Devices applicable to self-verification include commercial computers, TV and FM receivers, and industrial, scientific, and medical devices used by non-mass consumers under FCC Rule Part 18.
 
2, Declaration of conformity: the equipment responsible party (generally manufacturers or importers) in the FCC designated qualified testing institutions to test the product to ensure that the equipment meets the relevant technical standards and retain the test report, the FCC has the right to require the responsible party to submit equipment samples or product testing data. Equipment subject to the declaration of conformity includes home computers and peripherals, civil broadcast receivers, superregenerative receivers, other receivers under FCC Rule Part 15, television interface equipment, cable system terminal equipment, and industrial, scientific, and medical equipment used by mass consumers under Part 18.
 
3, ID certification: The FCC to the applicant submitted samples (or photos) and test data for review, if in line with the requirements of the FCC rules to the equipment authorized an FCC ID number. Equipment applicable for certification includes low-voltage transmitters such as cordless telephones, remote controls for automatic doors, radio-controlled toys and security alarm systems, Part 15 devices that intentionally emit radio-frequency energy, Part 18 industrial, scientific and medical devices used by mass consumers, automatic frequency conversion receivers and superregenerative receivers, television interface devices, and other devices that are used by the general public.
