“ China Energy Efficiency labeling ” System according to the "Energy efficiency labeling management Measures" (the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration of Quality Supervision and Inspection No. 17) provisions, since March 1, 2005 officially implemented. China's energy efficiency labeling system implements unified energy efficiency labeling for energy-using products with great energy saving potential and wide use, formulates and promulgates the Catalogue of Products of the People's Republic of China Implementing Energy efficiency Labeling, and determines uniformly applicable product energy efficiency standards, implementation rules, energy efficiency labeling patterns and specifications. A uniform energy efficiency label shall be marked on the visible part of the required product or the minimum package of the product and stated in the product description.
The energy efficiency labeling system adopts a combination of enterprise self-declaration mode, energy efficiency information record management and market supervision management, by the enterprise to declare and promise the energy efficiency level and energy efficiency level of the product, provide the corresponding testing report and other certification data to the energy efficiency labeling management center review and record, accept the government, society, the same industry, consumers and other aspects of supervision.
At present, China has released eight batches of 26 products with mandatory energy efficiency labeling product catalogues and implementation rules, these products must be imported or sold in China affixed “ China Energy Efficiency labeling ” .
