1. Control type of electric appliance:
The controlled electrical appliances must obtain the certificate of approval, issued by the monitoring department, and specify the logo (must add the number).
It should be noted that certification procedures are for security, not performance or quality, unless they are related to safety. The first letter of the certificate number indicates which state or region the certificate is issued. Such as:
Q91610 (Queensland)
W2015（Western Australia）
N10422（New South Wales）
 
2. Non Control type of electrical appliance:
Although non Control type of electrical appliance is not mandatory to obtain certification, and their safety is responsible of the seller / Producer, they can apply for certification voluntarily. The monitoring department will issue Certificate of Suitability for products that meet the requirements, electrical products that obtain certificates can add the certificate number, the last number of the certificate indicates which state or region the certificate is issued, such as:
CS/431/Q (Queensland)
CS/108/N (New South Wales)
  
RCM logo: RCM logo are being introduced in Australia and New Zealand（Regulatory Compliance Mark）, in order to achieve the unified identification of electrical products, the logo is a trademark owned by regulators in Australia and new Zealand, it indicates that the product conforms to safety regulations and EMC requirements, and it was Non compulsory. After the product gain the safety certification and EMC registration, it can though the regulatory authority for security certification or“RCM Registrar”(Standards Australia) to apply for use of the RCM signs.
 
SAIGLOBAL logo: A product safety label issued by SAI (original SAI), the logo is non mandatory and requires factory inspection and so on.
 
The energy requirements apply to the following household electrical appliances:
Refrigerator and refrigerator (test standard: AS/NZS44741.1, AS/NZS4474.2)
Washing machine (test standard: AS/NZS2040.1, AS/NZS2040.2)
Dryer (test standard: AS/NZS2442.1, AS/NZS2442.2)
Dishwasher (test standard: AS/NZS2007.1, AS/NZS2007.2)
One way household air conditioner (test standard: AS/NZS3823.1.1, AS/NZS3823.1.2, AS/NZS3823.2, AS/NZS3823.3)
The applicant must submit an application form to the supervisory authority, and together with a complete and accurate test report and a sample of the energy label. The test report shall be issued by an accredited laboratory and valid for three years from the date of issue.
