At that time, manufacturers whose products do not meet these requirements will be unable to obtain UL certification and ETL certification .

The contents of the added clauses mainly include:
14A, for the following two categories of appliances: (a) Fans not placed directly on the floor, such as bracket fans, window fans or portable wall fans mounted with keyhole slots, (b) Fans placed directly on the floor, such as desk fans or box fans, shall be equipped with a built-in overcurrent protection device not greater than 5A, which must be included in the plug or on the power cord.
51A, for the above two types of appliances, apply 36N tension to test whether the fuse holder is reliably fixed.
51B, for the above two types of appliances, the power cord wear test is added, and 5 samples need to pass 5000 cycles of wear test.
51C, for the above two categories of appliances, the power cord clamping test has been added, and at least 3 of the 5 samples need to be able to withstand the extrusion pressure of 2.2kN. 51D, for the above two types of appliances,
Added power cord squeeze test, 5 samples must be able to withstand extrusion pressure of 890N for 7 hours.
51E, for the above two types of appliances, the power cord bending test has been added, and 6 samples need to pass the bending test of 3100 cycles. During the test, the power cord must also carry the rated current of the appliance.
62.1.13, for the above two types of appliances, the socket or the power line to add a rechangeable fuse, the appliance shall be affixed with a warning to inform the current value of the replaced fuse.
62.8, the power cord of the appliance shall be affixed with a label. For the above two types of appliances, the label needs to contain the following statement: Always Unplug This Product Before Installing or Replacing Fuses. For power cord connected appliances, the label should contain the following statement: a) “ Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facilityfor examination and/or repair.” b) “ Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings.Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.”
